Goodness knows how it eluded me to blog the gorgeous wedding of the super classy and stylish Kelly and Simon. Whatever it was, I was reminded of what a beautiful day it was and what a sweet couple they are when their wedding album arrived this week. It still stands that I’m not photographing weddings in the near future, but for now I can’t resist sharing this one.
I worked with Kelly several years ago and it’s always super tricky coping with the emotion and nerves of watching someone you have a dear friendship with getting married whilst trying to minimise camera shake (no tripods here!). But Kelly and Simon threw such a fabulous party after that I soon forgot about that – look at all the lovely, thoughtful details they included in their day. So much fun was had with the garden games, and the live music was more than enough to get everyone in the party spirit.
The happy couple held their wedding at Simon’s parents’ house which made everything all the more relaxed and intimate. The weather was perfect and Kelly looked stunning in her classy fitted dress. The food was delicious, not to mention well thought out (each table was assigned a carver who was given a quick how-to on the do’s and dont’s of slicing beef before dishing up to the rest of the table; so unique!). The speeches were just the right amount of emotional and hilarious and Kelly and Simon’s first dance was wonderful to watch – see how happy they are! All in all, the perfect day and one I’ll never forget.
On another note, I’ve been rather quiet on the blogging and social media front for a while, since I found out I am expecting baby Catton number three in February! This pregnancy has been a toughie and, sadly, a lot of the behind the scenes work I used to do has had to take a back seat. I’ve no more spaces for bookings for the remainder of the year but I’ve promised myself I’ll share a few of the most stunning shoots from the past months before I start the proper nesting process in January :o)
For now, here are the beautiful Mr and Mrs Goodbody…
